# Sign in with email

> Use email and OTP to create an embedded wallet on Pocket testnet, no browser extension required.

Testnet V2 adds **email login** so users can trade without installing a browser wallet extension.

Pocket integrates **Privy** for email authentication. After verifying your email, Privy creates an embedded wallet tied to your address so you can trade immediately.

## How it works

    Click **Connect Wallet**, then choose **Email**.

    Type the email address you want to use.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter the OTP">
    Type the one-time passcode sent to your inbox.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Embedded wallet created">
    Privy creates an embedded wallet tied to your email.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enable Trading">
    Continue with **Enable Trading** as usual.
  </Step>

## Embedded wallet behavior

| Custody         | Embedded wallet keys are managed by Privy; export options follow Privy policy |
| Same features   | Spot, perps, portfolio, leaderboard—same as extension wallets                 |

## When to use email vs extension wallet

| Use email if…                         | Use extension wallet if…                  |

| You want the fastest first-time setup | You already use MetaMask / OKX daily      |
| You're on mobile without a wallet app | You need hardware wallet support          |
| You're doing a quick testnet demo     | You prefer full self-custody from day one |

## Troubleshooting
