Testnet V2 adds TP/SL in two ways: attached to new orders and as standalone advanced orders. This page covers how to set them up, manage them on open positions, and understand their execution behavior.

Attach TP/SL when placing an order

On the perps order panel (V2):
1

Enable TP/SL

Check the TP/SL checkbox on the order panel.
2

Set trigger prices

Enter your take-profit and/or stop-loss prices (or offsets, per UI mode).
3

Submit the primary order

When the primary order fills, linked TP/SL orders are created for the resulting position.

Standalone advanced TP/SL

Use the Advanced tab for trigger-based orders without attaching to a new entry:
  • TP Market / TP Limit: lock in profit at a target price
  • Stop Market / Stop Limit: cut loss or protect gains
See Order types for field definitions and triggers.

Managing TP/SL on open positions

From the Positions tab, view existing TP/SL orders linked to each position. You can edit or cancel triggers before they fire.

Execution notes

Liquidation can occur before a stop triggers in fast markets. Always monitor margin and liquidation distance.

Common issues

The trigger price may not have been reached. Check whether you are comparing mark price versus last price.
Your size may be below the market minimum, or you may have insufficient margin for the order.
The parent order may have only partially filled. Check the Open Orders tab for the remaining size.
